Calcium Folinate Injection is also known as leucovorin calcium indicated in the treatment of following conditions:
- Given along with anticancer medicines to protect against bone marrow suppression or gastrointestinal mucosa inflammation
- In combination with methotrexate to reduce side effect
- In the treatment of megaloblastic anemias due to folic acid defi ciency when oral therapy is not feasible
- To avoid the harmful effects of excessive dosages of antibiotic dihydrofolate reductase inhibitors such trimethoprim and pyrimethamine
- Methanol poisoning
- In combination with 5-fluorouracil to prolong survival in the palliative treatment of patients with advanced colorectal cancer (CAUTION: leucovorin cannot be
