Aminophylline Injection is a bronchodilator compound and mixture theophylline & ethylenediamine in ratio of (2:1). Ethylenediamine improve solubility of theophylline .
Aminophylline Injection prescribed to below mentioned conditions:
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Pulmonary emphysema
- Chronic bronchitis
- Used to reverse regadenoson, dipyridamole or adenosine based infusions during nuclear cardiology stress testing
- For prevention of slow heart rate during complex cardiovascular interventions (atherectomy of the right coronary artery)
- Anaphylactic shock
