Furosemide also known as frusemide is diuretic used as an antihypertensive agent
Furosemide tablet is indicated in treatment of following condition in patients:
- Edema
Prescribed to adult or pediatric patients having edema associated with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and renal disease, including the nephritic syndrome
- Hypertension
Prescribed alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents in treatment of hypertension
- When more potent diuretic required
