- Imipenem and cilastatin 1gm (1000mg) injection
Imipenem is belong to carbapenem family of antibiotics and works by breakdown bacteria’s cell wall. Cilastatin blocks the activity of dehydropeptidase I (enzyme responsible for breakdown of imipenem) which prevents the breakdown of imipenem.
