Sevoflurane USP inhalation is used as an anaesthetic in following conditions:
- Induction and maintenance of general anaesthesia in adult and paediatric patients for inpatient and outpatient surgery
Things to consider:
Only those with training in the administration of general anaesthesia should administer sevoflurane. There must be immediate access to resources for maintaining a patent airway, artificial breathing, oxygen enrichment, and circulatory resuscitation. It is best to only utilize vaporizers that produce consistent concentrations of sevoflurane because the level of anaesthesia can change quickly.
